Pelletizing troughs are typically top fed and have a top exit, while tubing, wire, fiber optic, rod, and profile troughs have a side exit and entrance (see the drawing). Units can be constructed universally for both pelletizing and the side fed applications. Wayne Yellow Jacket® Water Troughs can be manufactured as very simple units for low-budget projects or with a plethora of options to meet the demands of sophisticated laboratory or heavy duty production applications.

Wayne Yellow Jacket® Water Troughs some unique standard and optional features that make them easy to work with:

Heavy duty tubular steel is used for support stand and heavy duty stainless steel is used for the trough itself

Casters allow for easy movement for positioning and floor jacks are used for rigid floor mounting

Air or Sponge Wipes are standard equipment for drying the extrudate Strand roller guides can be fixed mounted for easy swing in - swing out or mounted on portable in-trough stands. These help maintain the stability and position of the extrudate as it travels through the water

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:

• Recirculating water is provided with a 30 gallon or larger reservoir system that includes a pump, replaceable cartridge filter and heat exchanger. The heat exchanger system insures that the water used in the water trough does not come into contact with the water from a heater/chiller. This is especially important in medical applications.

• Easy adjustment is achieved by the Wayne XYZ movement system with locking ratchet adjustment on the X, threaded adjustment on the Y and handwheel up/down adjustment on each side of the tank for easy alignment in critical production situations.
• Multiple bolt on sections are available for extra long troughs used in large extrudate or high speed applications
• Different temperature zones with seperated water supplies are available
• Custom sizes are available to meet any application.
